Cook, Olsen Win ‘Miss’ and ‘Mrs.’ Volunteer Pageants

AnnaMarie Cook of Johnston City was crowned 'Miss Volunteer' on Feb. 17 at the Miss & Mrs. Volunteer Scholarship Pageant at John A. Logan College. Cook competed in evening gown, swimsuit, talent and interview and won a $500 scholarship. It was a tough way to open the spring season for the John A. Logan College softball team. The Volunteers first dropped an extra-inning game, 3-2, and were then whacked 11-2 in the second game by visiting Three Rivers College out of Poplar Bluff, Mo. Read more »
