Four Logan Sophs Chosen for Top Hoop Camps
John A. Logan College sophomore basketball players Connell Crossland, Nate Butler, Stan Simpson and Josh Anderson will be packing their bags and heading west to Tulsa, Okla., next week to participate in two of the more prestigious summer hoop camps for second-year college players.
Crossland (6-foot-7 forward from St. Louis who transferred to Logan from Highland Community College near Chicago), Butler (6-foot-6 shooting guard out of Dorado, Puerto Rico) and Simpson (6-foot-10 post player from Chicago via the University of Illinois) were selected as three of the top 120 sophomore prospects in the nation.
Anderson (6-foot-3 shooting guard out of Chicago) was chosen in the next group of 80. All will compete at Oral Roberts University in multiple games to be showcased before myriad Division I and II coaches.
