Seats Filling Up Fast as Investors Flock to JALC for Stock Traders’ Summit
In a volatile market, investors turn to experts to help limit losses and maximize gains. On Saturday, March 27, 10 national experts will share their advice at John A. Logan College’s second Stock Traders’ Summit. Leading the group as the featured presenter is current CNBC panelist and editor of Advantage Point at OptionMONSTER, Guy Adami. Joining Adami will be event organizer and John A. Logan College Assistant Professor David England and eight other experts in the field of investing. They including: Mike Daly, Cary Gill, James Grant, Tommy Hogue, Sean Lusk, Dan Passarelli, Chris Speis, and Michael Thompson. The experts will explain how to get the most from your investments and trading.
After the success of the first summit, word spread quickly through the tight-knit investment community on the Internet. As a result, organizers say seats are filling up fast.
“We have participants traveling hundreds of miles to attend this event so we encourage everyone to enroll as soon as possible. If your an investor or just interested in your financial future, you can ‘t afford to miss this group of speakers,” England said.
One investor, Ken Nauholz from Wisconsin, can’t wait to return to southern Illinois for the summit. Nauholz feels that that if you want to further your stock market education, the Stock Traders’ Summit has something for everyone, from the seasoned investor to someone just getting started.
“It isn’t often you go to a place and feel right at home, but the people of southern Illinois gave me a warm welcome in 2009. I didn’t feel like a stranger,” Nauholz said. “The education was exceptional, and I am coming back in 2010 because of the great experience I had last year. I am sure this year will be more of the same. I will be traveling 425 miles from Wisconsin, but it is well worth the drive. I am looking forward to meeting new people and for more learning opportunities. The price is fair so if you are interested in learning, meeting nice people, and helping your financial future, you need to check it out.”
The event will feature introductory session on stocks, mutual funds, ETFs, and options. Advanced sessions will include segments on futures, gold, and charting. Additional sessions on tax tips and estates, as well as wills and trusts will also be offered.
A meet and greet will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, March 26, at Giant City Lodge. Guests will have an opportunity to meet and visit with the summit speakers. The cost for the meet and greet is $50 and is limited to the first 100 registrants. Tickets for the summit are $99.
