Lady Vols Open Season with DH Sweep of Flo Valley

Sophomore lefthander Brittany Ashton, who has battled injuries in her two years at Logan, tossed a scoreless inning Sunday in the Vols’ 12-1 game-one victory over Florissant Valley. A Carterville native, Ashton was pitching on her home field.

Baseball Vols Add to Win Streak

JALC sophomore lefthander Mike Guinane was winning pitcher Sunday afternoon. He improves to 2-1 this spring after shutting out the College of DuPage in five innings of work.
