Sources within the John A. Logan College athletic department reported late Wednesday evening that Thursday’s women’s and men’s home basketball games with Mid-Continent University have been cancelled by Mid-Continent officials.

The university also cancelled its scheduled games with Southeastern Illinois on Wednesday. No makeup dates have been set.

The Logan men’s next scheduled game ironically is Dec. 1 at Mayfield, Ky. against Mid-Continent. But that game may not be played. The Vols’ next scheduled home game is Friday, Dec. 4 in the Logan Classic.

The Lady Vols return to action at 8 p.m. this Friday as part of the Logan Invitational against Lincoln Land College of Springfield and will also play Danville at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Both games are at the Donald L. Brewer Gymnasium and Convocation Center in Carterville.
