Logan Presents the Improvised Musical on September 4
John A. Logan College will present The Improvised Musical on Thursday, September 4, in O’Neil Auditorium at 7 p.m. A renowned cast of improvisational performers from Chicago’s iO Theater will create and perform an original, Broadway-style musical for the audience.
Adrienne Barkley Giffin, director of student activities and cultural events at Logan, has seen the iO Theater group perform and says it provides a unique, family-friendly entertainment experience.
“The cast takes suggestions from the audience and generates a brand new show every night so each performance is one of a kind,” Giffin said. “I saw the group do a Shakespeare-themed improvisational show, and it was really funny. I was extremely impressed with how talented and knowledgeable the performers were, and I think anyone who enjoys comedies and musicals will like this group.”
Tickets for The Improvised Musical are $10 for general admission and $5 for students. For more information about the show or to obtain advance tickets, contact the Office of Student Activities and Cultural Events at 618-985-2828 or 618-457-7676, Ext. 8287.
